The Ohio Paranormal Exploration Society was started by Tamara Adams Heckle on December 1, 2007. Since formation the group has met monthly to set new goals, discuss investigations, set up community service events, and review evidence within the group. The OPES investigators have decades of combined experience to assure you that you are getting the best possible investigation.
OPES uses the best technology available to document paranormal activity. Since induction, the group has investigated on regular basis. OPES has visited such infamous Ohio locations as Prospect Place in Trinway, Ohio and Utopia, Ohio to name a few. OPES also conducts investigations in private residences to put the homeowners at ease regarding their claims of activity. Our private residence investigations are always kept confidental, any evidence collected will be reviewed by the group and presented to the property owner(s) or homeowner(s).
OPES will always try to find a logical explaination for all claims of activity and all evidence collected. All of our methods are strictly scientifically based, we do not claim paranormal activity based upon feelings or personal experiences. All evidence is documented and reviewed with the utmost scrutiny before it is presented.
Our pledge to you: Following the investigation, our investigators use the first week to review their evidence, then present it to the Lead Investigators for further review and analysis. The following week the remaing evidence (that can not be explained) is presented to the client. Our pledge is to have your evidence to you within two weeks of the investigation date!
OPES DOES NOT: Do seances, use ouija boards, automatic writing, or any such other means of "contacting the dead". We do not rely on psychics or mediums for evidence unless it can be backed up scientifically.
We do believe in helping our clients to the highest extent of our ability. In the event a house blessing is needed due to a negative haunting, we will try to help the property owner contact the proper authorities. (having proof of a negative haunting speeds up the process drastically).
OPES also has members versed in other areas of the paranormal field. We are constantly learning and growing.
OPES founder, Tamara Heckle was interviewed for an upcoming segment of Ghost Adventures at Prospect Place Mansion. Thanks, guys!
OPES is currently assembling a team of Investigators based out of the Cleveland/Akron area. We are also developing the guidelines to soon add NW, SE and Central/Columbus teams. We want to be able to offer all of our clients more immediate availability of investigators, a better knowledge of the local history in each region and greater resources for the entire State of Ohio. If you are interested in joining one of these teams, please send in your application through the "Join OPES" page.
"What OPES provides, I thought, is peace of mind. In a few weeks they'll submit a report to the business owner detailing their experience. If they found nothing, it likely would mean the building isn't haunted. If they do find something, the opposite might be true. Either way, those troubled by their fears will know."
